Description

A number of potential students had contacted me, because they feel confident in their CVOR knowledge.

These include:

  • People that are working long-haul trucking industry, and studied CVOR manual. For example, long-haul drivers, safety managers, etc.
  • People that previously had a CVOR certificate, but failed to renew it on time, and now have to take a knowledge test.


They are not interested in the full course, but they need a bit of practise answering questions.

This course was designed to accommodate the requests of such students.

It contains 181 practise questions.

A full course is recommended for individuals that do not have any prior long-haul trucking experience.

Yes, you can bulldoze your way through by using questions and answers, but you leave yourself vulnerable to fines during road-side enforcement. A CVOR vehicle can be inspected at any time (enforcement personnel does not need a "cause"). You are required to have certain paperwork in your truck. By signing up for a full course, we will make sure that you have a comprehensive list, and you state up to date with all the relevant requirements.

I work in construction and I've seen guys go in and think they could pass the test without ever knowing what's on the test, just because they know how to drive. At $32 per attempt and being able to take the test once a day, it's far cheaper and faster to pay the $149+ and spend 3 days learning the material (eg. one guy I worked for was going on to his 8th attempt when I last saw him...8 x $32 = $256). It's not just about passing the test, it's about KNOWING the rules/laws. Don't waste day after day "winging" the test. Book a few days off (min. 2 days...I needed many breaks because I have ADHD) and do this course. You won't regret it. The folks at the DriveTest Centre were impressed that I passed on first attempt because (and I'm paraphrasing) the "guys" rarely do. Don't be "that" guy. ;-)”

During his 10 years of running his own trucking business, Andrew had passed a number of safety audits with flying colors, including two conducted by MTO. Good drivers were the foundation of the success, and Andrew took great pride in hand-picking and training them personally. So much so he even became a certified instructor of Transportation of Dangerous Goods.

After selling his business Andrew had moved to consulting, helping fleets with 25+ trucks pass MTO audits (currently 20 and counting), and making sure good drivers are driving the business forward.

One day Andrew was asked to help Kenny prepare for CVOR Test. Working with a number of aspiring business owners like him later, Andrew saw that the conventional Safety Manual was not addressing some of the students' most common problems.
